WELCOME DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS I am dedicating this site to what I hope will be a continuation of the work of a great lady and family seanchie, Helen M. Houlihan. Those of us who knew her as Aunt Helen or Cousin Helen knew that she kept us all informed of the comings and goings of aunts , uncles and cousins. She would spend a few days with the Bishko / Houlihans in New York City or the Springfield Mass. Houlihans, or make the crossing to Ireland and visit with Mikey and Sister Anne Houlihan. Soon after she would visit the Hamden Ryders, Schneiders, or Westminster St. Houlihans and relate how one of us had made a sports team , passed a driving test, graduated from high school or how they were getting on in Clonmell and Dingle. All of us had a much better sense of family and our Irish heritage because of Helen. I know there will never be another Helen M. Houlihan but I really want to keep our sense of family alive. My hope is that you and other members of the family will send me news of your family or self that I can post on The Seanchie Website.
